-
The domain name and the photo archive of TwitPic were sold to Twitter, TwiPic announced it on Saturday.
The users of TwitPic can keep reaching the old pictures, but the mobile apps will be terminated as well as uploading new photos.
Noah Everett, who is the founder of TwitPic, said that "This will be my final chapter with Twitpic, and again I want to say thank you for allowing me to be a part of your photo sharing memories for nearly seven years. It has been an honor".
TwitPic in the past had announced that they will be closed on 4th September, but they had found the potential buyer already. And after that, they declared on 25th Oct. to close the website absolutely.
