Romania experienced antivirus software BitDefender’s spokesman said, compared to the “invasive” application on Google operating system, more iOS application will track the users’ address and visit their contact information. Despite that both the two operating system are equipped with large numbers of “invasive” applications, iOS is much worse than Android.

What are the security issues that iOS have?

According to the research of Mobile Application Security Company, 45.41% of iOS application programs are capable to track the users’ location, while it is 34.55% of Android. At the same time, only 7.69% of Android application program can read the contact list, while 18.92% iOS software can do it.

BitDefender spent a year collecting application programs in Play market and iTunes, and then they played them in their Clueful. Finally they released the analysis about Android and iOS applications. Clueful is not allowed to be used in Apple APP Store, but people can still inspect program through Clueful Web.

Cosoi said that BitDefender has already given up trying to make Clueful into Apple APP Store. He also added, compared with iOS, Android has a bad reputation on security threat, while Android APP safety coefficient is higher. It may seem to be strange, but it also has the point.

He kept on adding, iOS is very closed. It will take several days to test the application, because they are very strict about the details. Therefore, it is very difficult to publish malware in iOS. In terms of market, it works out in all the problems of information disclosure. Some privacy issues are ignored. On Android, users can upload and disassemble the applications easily. At the same time, it is so easy for them to set up a third party application market that it can install malware easily.
