iPhone 5S Delayed Due to Fingerprint Sensor Coatings
-
iPhone fans have caught the wind that Apple will be pushing back the release of iPhone5S to September or later, which should be launched in June or July. As is reported in earlier this month, KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed the reasons causing the delay of the release of iPhone5S, lower-cost iPhone and second-generation iPad mini. Pointed out in the report, color coatings material interferes with the fingerprint sensor, for which reason the launch of iPhone5S will be pushed back.
Reuters's most recent report has confirmed the statement of Ming-Chi Kuo and highlighted that dozens of Apple supporters are fighting hard to be less dependent from Apple. The supporters from Japan and Taiwan said the mass-production of the next iPhone would initially begin in June but for the issue of color coatings for fingerprint sensor. Apple has been endeavoring to look for other material which is compatible with fingerprint sensor.
As for the lower-cost iPhone, a Japan supporter revealed informed Reuters that Apple would begin small-scale production of this device in May and the mass-production in the following month. It has been said that without fingerprint sensor, lower-cost iPhone will use 4-inch screen and cheaper plastic casing the same as iPhone5.
Early in the last week, Analyst Peter Misek from America Investment Company Jefferies foresaw the release of new products would all be delayed this year. Lower-cost iPhone may be launched in the fourth season and iPhone6 will come in 2014.
